The Executive Director of Student Services is a key member of the leadership team of the Division of Enrollment Management and is responsible for overseeing Jasper Central, the College’s newly created one stop shop. This position is responsible for providing leadership and management to and compliance within the Financial Aid, Registrar and Student Accounts offices which make up Jasper Central.

The Executive Director will assist in the development and execution of a strategic plan to deliver extraordinary student service and ongoing staff cross-training, and to leverage new and existing technologies in the delivery of both. This position works closely with Academic Affairs, Student Life and other campus stakeholders.

Develops a written plan to coordinate and implement the delivery of superior cross-functional student service with a priority focus in the areas of Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Registrar, and in close alignment and partnership with the Offices of ITS and Advising among others. The Executive Director will play a central role in assessing the necessary information/data, designing service on best practices, forging the appropriate cross-functional partnerships, developing staff structures and training plans, engaging required technology, and providing supervision for Jasper Central. This position will also be integral in folding in future services and making plans for this potential expansion, such that a “single point of service” is created to enable progressive, simplified, and a consistent student experience and a culture that supports student satisfaction and success.30% of Time

Establish, develop and train a cohesive, integrated, knowledgeable front-line team that delivers high quality, timely, well-informed service to students in the areas of financial aid, student accounts and registrar services on a variety of communication platforms. The Director embeds in the team the values and priorities of extraordinary customer service, effective use of technology to deliver service, equitable access, and knowledge of best practice. The Director actively seeks opportunities to enhance the student experience and support student success metrics through regular evaluation of service delivery points and subsequent changes. 30% of Time

Manages and develops an experienced financial aid, registrar and bursar staff. Serve as the key compliance officer for each functional area and, as such, much possess strong skills in the awarding of title IV aid, Clearinghouse reporting, etc. 25% of Time

Develops, maintains and administers policies and procedures that support quality student-centric service and student success. Represents the Enrollment Management Division on college-wide committees and Task Forces that relate to improving the student experience/student success and outcomes. Represents the office throughout the campus as well as externally and serves as the subject-matter expert and resource to faculty, staff, and students throughout the campus community. 15% of Time

Education / Additional Information:

  • Master’s Degree plus a minimum of 10 years of related experience, with direct experience in at least one of the following: student financial aid and awards, registration, bursar and/or one-stop student service operation. Proven ability to build, manage and provide leadership to a best in class team.
  • Sound understanding of compliance as well as strategic enrollment management concept and academic policies and processes that contribute to a quality student experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of learning and innovation.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and inclusively.
  • Knowledge of budget planning, development and management.
  • Direct and/or indirect supervision of front-line support staff, which includes the ability to recruit, hire, terminate, and promote and/or make recommendations regarding recruitment, hiring, termination, and promotion.
  • Knowledge of Banner, Slate, and other systems is preferred.
  • Some weekends and evenings in support of recruitment and yield events may be required.

Salary: $110, 000 -$125, 000
