Position Title: Visiting Faculty in Mechanical Engineering

Salary: $90,000 - $95,000 Per Year

Position Summary:

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Manhattan University seeks outstanding applicants for a visiting appointment at the Assistant Professor level starting in August 2025. The department offers a concentration in Biomechanics and Aerospace at the undergraduate level, in addition to the eight concentrations currently being offered in the graduate program.

• The candidate should specialize in solid mechanics
• Manhattan University Mechanical Engineering faculty are expected to maintain high-quality teaching
• The candidate is expected to teach classes in areas including (but not limited to) Solid Mechanics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Machine Design, Manufacturing, HVAC, Building systems, etc.
• A successful candidate will be required to teach 24 credits per academic year

Qualifications:

• The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and have a proven commitment to teaching and advising students
