CAMPUS MINISTRY and SOCIAL ACTION OFFICE ASSISTANT

Student Worker

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Campus Minister in all elements of programming and events, including but not limited to:

    • Create social media posts, outreach using social media

    • Create and hang flyers on campus

    • Make copies

    • Add announcements to Manhattan College online portals

    • Add events to 25Live event portal online

    • Assist with creation of bulletins for Mass

  • Assist in Social Action Projects including but not limited to:

    • Assist with on and off campus Social Action programming, including the following programs: Lasallian Outreach Collaborative (L.O.Co.), Lasallian Outreach Volunteer Experience (L.O.V.E.) Board, Activism Excursions, Service on Saturday, Voter Registration, and Slice of Social Justice

    • Assist with planning reflections and workshops for Social Action programming

    • Assist with Lasallian Collegian activities

    • Help to plan annual events including: Community Engagement Fair, Post Graduate Volunteer Fair, and Mission Week

  • General office tasks, including but not limited to:

    • Faxing

    • Printing

    • Flyering

    • Filing

    • Scanning

Qualifications:

  • Interest in spiritual programming and social justice advocacy

  • Respect for the Lasallian Catholic identity of Manhattan College

  • Ability and willingness to learn and build relationships with students, faculty and staff.

  • Ability to work collaboratively; self-motivated; takes initiative and sees projects through to completion.

  • Working knowledge of Google Suite and Canva

  • Must have a Federal Work Study grant.

  • Must be available to work ON CAMPUS, at least 4-6 hours per week

Hourly Rate: $16. 00

Supervision:

The Campus Ministry office assistant will report to Jubilee Aguilar jaguilar05@manhattan.edu
