Job Description For General Student Worker Position Within Athletics
Summary: Provide professional assistance under the supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director, Facilities and Operations
This position executes facility and event operations, including pre-game set-up, post-game breakdown, and in-game management of all Manhattan College’s home athletic events. This position may require long hours during events but is a student-held job.
Work hours are flexible around class schedule and work demands.
Candidates with work-study grants preferred.
Weekly Hours: Between 5-20 hours depending on schedule needs and availability
Hourly Pay: $16 per hour
Essential Functions:
-Assist with game management or events at both Draddy Gymnasium and Gaelic Park
-Assist in all aspects of game day set-up, game management during game/match and post-game breakdown
-Handling and set up of equipment needed for sound/music, scoreboard, bleachers, game goals, balls and other equipment used for game/event setups
-Supervision and adherence to Game Day Operations of all Division 1 Athletic Events
Events include:
Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Indoor Track and Field, Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse, Cross Country, and other miscellaneous events.
In-Game Positions:
Ticket Attendant, Seat Usher, Greeter, Ball Person, Locker Room Liaison, and Scorer’s Tables and any other duties assigned
Requirements:
The position is for students enrolled at Manhattan University that have been approved by Student Financial Services for approval

Physical Demands:
The position requires individuals to sit or stand for long periods during athletics games or events. This position requires occasionally working outdoors during inclement weather. While performing some of the duties of this job, employees must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-40 pounds.
