Job Description For Athletics Marketing & Communications Support Staff
Summary: Provide professional assistance under the supervision of the Associate Athletic Director, Athletic Marketing & Communications and Sports Information Department
This position will assist the department of sports marketing and communications. Student workers will assist with game/event promotions and marketing campaigns, working as support staff during games/events hosted by the athletics department.
Work hours are flexible around class schedule and work demands.
Weekly Hours: Between 5-20 hours depending on schedule needs and availability
Hourly Pay: $16 per hour
Essential Functions:
-Assist with game day operations or events at both Draddy Gymnasium and Gaelic Park
-Setting up tables or stations for sports marketing and communications department
-Greeting and fan engagement during all athletic events
-Assist the athletics department with any game day theme or promotions scheduled
Events include:
Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Indoor Track and Field, Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse, Cross Country, and other miscellaneous events.
In-Game Positions:
Promoting marketing or campaigns geared towards fan engagement
Assisting with game stats/data
Requirements:
The position is for students enrolled at Manhattan University that have been approved by Student Financial Services for approval

Physical Demands:
The position requires individuals to sit or stand for long periods during athletics games or events. This position requires occasionally working outdoors during inclement weather. While performing some of the duties of this job, employees must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-40 pounds.
