Section I: Student Assistant, Department of Mathematics and Physics

Short summary of position: The Department of Mathematics and Physics at Manhattan is seeking to hire a part-time student assistant to support the creation and organization of shared department spaces and messaging in Hayden Hall.

Section II: Responsibilities

  • Maintain social media, bulletin boards and other signage
  • Unpack, inventory and organize department property moved from RLC to Hayden
  • Set up MATH/PHYS library and maintain organization of other shared spaces
  • Assist with open house and other student engagement
  • Assist with the digitization of Departmental forms and paperwork

Reports to: Department Chair

Section III: Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Salary: $16/hr, 4 hours per week, exact times are flexible
