GRADUATE ASSISTANT, COLLEGIATE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ENTRY PROGRAM (CSTEP)
The Manhattan University Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) provides academic enrichment and research experience in STEM content areas. CSTEP engages eligible students who are completing majors that lead to careers in STEM and health-related fields, through entrance into professional licensures.
Each year, CSTEP serves approximately 165 students studying in Manhattan University’s School of Engineering and the Kakos School of Arts and Sciences. As a statewide initiative that addresses underrepresentation in STEM fields, CSTEP at Manhattan University has supported many students in completing their degrees successfully by providing access to a pre-freshman summer program, tutors, academic coaches, advising, and mentorship opportunities. Additionally, there is assistance for participants with their postgraduate goals, which can include employment, pursuing a professional licensure, or accessing graduate degrees. Our CSTEP alumni have advanced to PhD programs, medical schools, and other leadership roles in their respective industries.
