Undergraduate Research Assistants

Short summary of position: The Environmental Engineering Program seeks up to six undergraduate research assistants to support environmental engineering/science research in the Environmental Engineering Laboratories.

Position Duties: Students may be involved in:

  • Performing laboratory experiments on environmental-related research.
  • Participating in environmental field sampling and sample analysis.
  • Working on the development and/or application of computer models for various environmental assessments.
  • Conducting literature reviews and support the drafting of research manuscripts and reports.
  • Participating in weekly meetings with your research advisor(s).

Qualifications: Preference in hiring will be given to students who:

  • Are in good academic standing.
  • Have prior laboratory and/or field experience.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Excel, GIS, environmental software, and/or computer programming.
  • Are available to work 6-12 hours per week. Exact schedule will be determined after hiring.
  • Are interested in graduate studies in environmental engineering/science.

Salary: $16-18/hr
