Orientation Leaders will be provided with Manhattan University apparel to wear during all Orientations
Position Summary:
The purpose of summer orientation is to aid in the acclimation of new students to Manhattan University through interactions with the many members of the Manhattan University community. It is expected when students conclude orientation, they are made to feel confident in their choice of university, included, welcomed into the community, and capable of succeeding here. We’re looking for exceptional students to help our newest Jaspers feel welcome, included, and at home at Manhattan University.
Responsibilities:

Leading group activities for incoming students

Providing easily accessible information about campus resources

Participating in campus trainings
-
Office tasks (managing emails and social media, answering phones, photocopying, creating event advertisements, maintaining bulletin boards)

Corresponding with new students throughout the summer and fielding inquiries
-
Help at the 2025 Commencement ceremonies in any capacity needed by the Commencement team

Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:

Orientation Leaders are expected to attend all Orientation and Welcome Weekend Events

Available to work from May 15th - June 18th and August 18th - August 24th
-
Orientation Leaders are expected to attend all training sessions in person (No training will be accommodated online)

Minimum GPA of 2.5

Ability to assume responsibility, follow directives, work quickly and effectively under pressure

Strong written and oral communication skills

Knowledge about Manhattan University campus life
