Position Title: Student Archives Assistant

The Manhattan University and De La Salle Christian Brothers Archives seeks a student worker to assist the archivist on a part-time basis in the processing of collections and in helping support office operations.

Hourly Rate: $16.50

Academic Year: 2025-2026

Reports To: The Director of Archives and Special Collections Library

Responsibilities:

• Physical arrangement and description of archival collections

• Describe and document collections using Archives Space database, the in-house Archives content management system

• Prepare and encode finding aids

• Assist in outreach via the Archives website, including digitizing content, working on online exhibitions

• Assist in providing reference service including responding to research requests and overseeing the reading room

• Other special projects and duties as assigned
