Position Title: Graduate Assistant - Athletics Communications
Job Duties/Responsibilities for Athletic Communication Graduate Assistant:

Must be able to work with scheduled deadlines

Experience writing press releases, game notes and feature stories

Coordinating interviews and other requests with coaches and student-athletes

Have experience using and knowledge of live stats software’s

Computer proficiency, website design and maintenance

Set up, maintain, and operate athletic streaming equipment

Familiarity with Side Arm website service

Managing the press box/scorer’s table for home events for assigned sports

Traveling to athletic games and events when required

Ability to work on weekends and evening hours

Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Previous experience working in marketing or sports information preferred

Knowledge of sports statistics, video streaming, graphic design, marketing, website management and social media

Contribute to content creation, expected to provide ideas and help with the execution of content

The ability to work efficiently, effectively, and agreeably under pressure; work independently andwork well with others

Ability to work a flexible schedule (morning/day/evening/weekends) during the academic year
Desired Start Date: 8/15/2025
End date: 5/31/2026
Hours: Maximum of 20 hours per week or 300 hours per semester
Compensation: Tuition Remission (9 credits per semester)
