Position Title: Communication Department Student Assistant

Job Duties:

  • General Office Work: Filing, answering phones, greet visitors, copying, scanning, creating, and updating documents
  • Creating content for departmental social media team
  • Reserve and loan out equipment for production classes, following our check-in and check-out procedures
  • Deliver and set up equipment to classrooms for faculty
  • Maintain loaner room: charging batteries, cleaning equipment, organize storage shelves
  • Conference room: keep neat and orderly, including refilling paper, replacing toner and keep a running inventory of supplies
  • Maintain Bulletin Boards
  • Messenger runs to North Campus

Skills:

Students will be expected to acquire the needed skills to set up a wide variety of specialized equipment to be distributed from this department. Students are expected to be organized and show a high level of initiative in a cooperative and collegial fashion.

Students are expected to have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Word and Excel, Google Docs, and social media apps.

Desired Start Date: August 25, 2025

End date: May 1, 2026

Hourly Rate: $ 16.50
