Position Title: Student Engagement, Graduate Assistant

Reports To: The Director of Student Engagement

Compensation: On average, the position is 20 hours per week. The Graduate Student will receive 3 classes paid per semester (9 credits per semester).

Requirements: The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree and be enrolled as a graduate student at Manhattan University.

Position Description:

The Student Engagement Graduate Assistant (GA) position is inclusive of, but not limited to, the following roles and responsibilities:

  • The Student Engagement GA assists in the processing of all club related events and activities.

  • The Student Engagement GA works with Events Management, ITS, Gourmet Dining, Public Safety and other offices according to the requirements of a given club event or activity.

  • The Student Engagement GA is responsible for updating spreadsheets necessary for accounting and assessment purposes.

  • The Student Engagement GA is responsible for chaperoning and attending on-campus events and excursions off-campus. As part of the chaperoning duties, the GA will be required to take pictures of the events and upload them to our social media accounts.

  • The Student Engagement GA should familiarize him/ herself with our clubs and organizations. An understanding of their mission and purpose on campus helps for a productive experience at Manhattan University

  • The Student Engagement GA will be required to work certain nights and weekends, which will be made known in advance

  • Other duties as assigned
