Student Assistant - English, World Languages & Literatures

Position Summary:

The Department of English, World Languages & Literatures seeks a student assistant who can provide administrative support with copying, printing, posting, publicizing events, Canva, and social media management for our disciplinary fields, which include English, World Languages & Literatures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support (photocopying, posting flyers, etc) to the Department Chair and the Faculty
  • Manage departmental social media presence
  • Attend departmental events and document with photo/video as appropriate
  • Assist faculty with assorted tasks

Reports To:

Chair of English, World Languages, and Literatures & Syrita Newman (KSAS Coordinator)

Qualifications:

A successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible and communicative
  • Have a Manhattan cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Have excellent social media & Canva skills

Hourly Rate: $16.50; starting January 2026, the rate will increase to $17.00 per hour.
