Compensation: 12 graduate credits (6 credits/semester)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in grading assignments in undergraduate computer science courses determined by the Department Chair, which includes:
  • Close coordination with the faculty teaching respective courses.
  • Downloading assignments turned in by undergraduate students and drafting grades according to the policy and requirements specified by the instructors of respective courses.
  • Testing computer programs, which are designed by undergraduate students to verify that they meet the assignment requirements and produce an expected result.
  • Preparation of a written report with explanation of all errors, bugs and/or inconsistencies found in the assignments (if any).
  • Delivery of all prepared reports to the faculty teaching respective courses.
  • Performing work in a timely manner and delivery of all reports strictly by the deadlines specified by the respective faculty.
  • Reporting directly to the Department Chair.

Preferred Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Must be a full-time graduate student pursuing an MS degree in Computer Science
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or have taken foundational undergraduate computing courses in C++ programming, Java programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Databases, and Operating Systems.

Necessary skills:

  • Be a skilled C++ and Java programmer (proficiency in the Matlab m-language, Python, and other programming languages is an additional advantage).
  • Be a team worker.
  • Be on time with all assignments.
  • Good communications skills.

Hours: up to 20 hours/week
