Position Title: Part-Time Admissions Tele-Recruiter

Position Reports To: Director of Undergraduate Admissions

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Part-time, flexible hours (typically 15–25 hours per week).

  • Hourly wages commensurate with experience ($17-$20 per hour).

  • Remote work available in the State of NY only.

Position Summary:

The Part-Time Admissions Tele-Recruiter will play a key role in supporting Manhattan University’s undergraduate admissions team by engaging prospective students and their families via phone, email, and virtual platforms. This position is ideal for someone who is autonomous, personable, organized, and passionate about helping students navigate the college admissions process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective students and families to promote Manhattan University’s programs and campus life.

  • Guide students through the admissions process, including application requirements, cultural and academic fit, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate records of outreach and follow-up activities using admissions software and databases.

  • Foster relationships with admission counselors to enhance recruitment efforts.

  • Any other duties necessary to further the mission of Manhattan University.

Qualifications:

  • College coursework or degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 6 months of professional experience in customer service, or a related field.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Empathetic and patient approach when guiding students and families.

  • Familiarity with CRM software and technology is an advantage.

  • Ability to work evenings from 5-9 M-TH and some weekends as needed.

  • Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to University policies.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to communicate effectively via phone and email.

  • Ability to work remotely and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • The ability to wear a headset for phoning is encouraged.
