Position Title: Student Worker
Position Summary:
The Procurement Department at Manhattan University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Student Worker to support daily operations related to procurement, vendor management, and
purchasing compliance. This position offers hands-on experience in procurement processes and
is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Business, Public Administration, Supply
Chain Management, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and review of purchase requisitions and purchase orders
- Research suppliers and compare pricing to support cost-effective purchasing decisions
- Help ensure compliance with university and state procurement regulations
- Assist with data entry
- Provide administrative support to Procurement department staff
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a degree-earning program at Manhattan University
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Interest in procurement, finance, or public administration preferred
- Prior administrative or purchasing experience is a plus, but not required
- Eligible for Federal Work Study
