Title: Associate Director of Talent and Organizational Development

Reports to: Vice President for Human Resources/Chief Human Resources Officer

Position Summary:

Executes and administers human capital management, including employment, performance management, employee relations, labor relations, and organizational development. The position will be responsible for full life cycle recruitment for the College and supporting the development and maintenance of effective retention, promotion, and succession planning programs to develop the college culture and support strategic goals. This position will manage and coordinate organization-wide efforts to create and manage performance management and quality improvement programs using a data-driven focus that sets improvement priorities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads talent acquisition (which includes recruitment, search committee development, reference checks, offer letters, and new hire orientation), performance management, retention, succession planning, and professional development initiatives.
  • Works across all departments to assess staffing needs and maintains job descriptions for all positions, and communicates recommended changes.
  • Oversees activities, identifies needs, suggests improvements, and manages strategic initiatives for talent management.
  • Through coaching and employee relations, handle and track employee relations claims, investigations, and outcomes by resolving them through established policies.
  • Counsels employees and supervisors to settle work-related conflicts. Identifies patterns through data analysis.
  • Implements operationalizes, and monitors policies and procedures to comply with laws, regulations, institutional policies, and department goals.
  • Serves as a liaison to leadership, faculty, and staff to provide information and interpret human resources policies and procedures. This includes consulting, drafting, and updating policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
  • Review, update, and submit revisions to the Employee Handbook and other HR policies and procedures.
  • Serves as backup to other Human Resources Department team members and coordinates with them regarding HRIS, benefits, and compensation.
  • Manages employee communication and feedback through staff and administrative meetings, one-on-one meetings, focus groups, and internal and external climate surveys. Develops a set of core outcomes for the unit, measures and tracks annual performance against objectives; prepares and submits an annual assessment report to the designated office, and engages with the College’s assessment program

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree required in business, or related field; Master's degree preferred

Salary Range: $95,000 to $125, 000 Per Year
