Scope:
Provides academic support services on behalf of the College and works with Jasper Central staff on the development of schedules, assignment of classrooms and registration of students. Works closely with all personnel in academic affairs including the Deans, Department Chairs and their representatives. Supports the strategic plan, mission, and vision of the College. The candidate is under the supervision of the Executive Director of Jasper Central.
Priority Responsibilities:
Administers and gathers all information relevant to curriculum updates; creates final exam schedule; coordinates with chairs and directors all course offerings; and oversees room scheduling. Course Dog Scheduling program experience preferred.
Monitors course section enrollment and promptly follows through with cancellations, rescheduling, additions, or modifications of academic classes
Oversees and responsible for registration set-up on Banner system and ensures that registration activities and dates are conducted in compliance with established guidelines
Liaison for 25Live Scheduling program, approves classroom reservation requests
Creates the yearly academic calendar, coordinates with supervisor on the official dates
Responsible for two schools including: graduation and other tasks associated with it;
Assists during graduation periods
Coordinates with ITS regarding all aspects of registration; i.e. troubleshoots computer problems; coordinates system updates; responsible for system upgrade testing
Trains and keeps back-up fully informed of all aspects of the job
Provides excellent service in assisting students, faculty, and staff and performs other job related duties as assigned
Participates in trainings, conferences and assigned committees
Represents the office as and when needed e.g. at faculty orientation

Other functions:
Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed (i.e. – provide official/unofficial transcripts; complete student verification forms; conduct in-person registrations; answer telephones and provide information; offer customer assistance at counter; provide backup coverage to other employees as needed.)
Comments: This position is multi-faceted. The need for knowledge of all positions in the department is instrumental in running a smooth and efficient operation. Experience Course Dog Scheduling and with Student Information Systems--Ellucian (Banner) a plus.
Salary: $50, 000 - $ 60, 000
Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree is required.
