Compensation:

  • A $2.50/hour differential will be added when working FLSD-assigned shifts.

This position is only for Manhattan University Public Safety Officers

Position Summary:

Manhattan University is seeking qualified internal candidates for the role of Fire Life Safety Director (FLSD). This is an excellent opportunity for employees looking to advance their career in campus safety and compliance.

Program Requirements:

  • Selected candidates must complete a 31-hour FLSD training course and pass all FDNY requirements, including the on-site exam.
  • Upon successful completion of all requirements, candidates will be assigned to FLSD posts as needed.

Training Expenses:

  • All expenses for the 31-hour training course and certificate application fees will be covered by the University.
  • Candidates must remain employed at Manhattan University for a minimum of two years following the successful completion of the on-site exam to retain this benefit.
