Position Title: Administrative Assistant, Part Time
Department: Campus Ministry & Social Action
Hourly Rate: $28 - $30 per hour (annual up to $20,500)
Work Schedule: This PT position will generally be scheduled up to 20 hours each week between August 15 and May 15 each year.
Position Summary:
Campus Ministry and Social Action (CMSA) at Manhattan University helps to instill the values of faith, social action, service and community in students of all religious and spiritual traditions.
We are currently seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to support campus ministry and social action initiatives. The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in providing administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the department. This is an in person on campus non - remote position.
Responsibilities:
Organize and schedule appointments and meetings for staff and volunteers
Assist in the preparation of documents, reports, and presentations
Maintain and update filing systems, both electronic and physical
Answer and direct phone calls and emails
Assist in managing social media accounts and communications
Coordinate and support events and activities related to campus ministry and social action
Other special projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Associate’s Degree, Bachelor's Degree; vocational or technical school degree preferred
Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role
Proficient in MS Office and other office management software
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Knowledge or interest in campus ministry or social action is a plus
